Daman

Daman is a small city approximately 150km from Mumbai. The chief occupation of local people there is fishing. For tourists, the main attraction is the beaches of Daman.

Daman has a wet and dry climate during summers from March to June, and heavy rains in July. Winter is cold and dry.

• Devka Beach in Daman is best for surfing and is very beautiful. Around the beach you will find an amusement park and the musical fountain which is worth checking out in the evening if you are nearby
• Jampore Beach is an ideal setting for a beach holiday, famous for sun-bathing and relaxing in general.

• Kadaiya Lake Garden Daman: Also known as Mirasol Lake Garden, is located in Nani Daman. It is a fascinating garden with a perfect view of the lake. There are also beautiful fountains and boat-rides.
• Church of our Lady of the Sea : is situated within the Fort of Nani Daman and resting on the peaceful northern bank of Ganga River.
